Q
Aspiration catheter for use in conjunction with Super90.
SuperQ® is the trade name of the family of aspiration thrombus catheters manufactured by the company MIVI Neuroscience. They are indicated for the direct aspiration of intracranial thrombi in the context of an acute stroke as well as thrombi in peripheral vessels in association with the Super90® lumen 0.090” guide catheter
The system is connected to the suction pump by means of a mesh silicone extension with a universal luer-lock adapter and a switch to conveniently open or close the negative pressure. The SuperQ® family is available in 6F external diameters, with a 0.069” internal lumen at its distal end and a length of 25cm; 5F, with internal lumen of 0.057” at its distal end and length of 25cm; 4F, with an internal lumen of 0.043″ at its distal end and a length of 30cm, and 3F, with an internal lumen of 0.036″ at its distal end and a length of 43cm. All catheters have a flared proximal end in order to partially seal in the lumen of the Super90® guide catheter with which they are compatible. Given their short length design, all of them have at their proximal end a steel pusher or pusher guide of 0.020” of size and 120cm in length
The SuperQ® system is a monorail catheter that allows distal navigation even over short-length microcatheters. The average suction lumen is the largest on the market as the suction pump is connected directly to the Super90® guide catheter, without compromising its navigability
Features:
- They bear a radiopaque marking on the distal tip as well as the flared proximal end, both of platinum-tungsten
- Its hydrophilic double layer coating ensures greater lubricity and durability
- It is built with a multi-polymer consisting of 25 segments or transitions of different flexibility, from maximum stability at the proximal end to maximum flexibility at the tip, allowing precise and efficient navigation
- Its straight tip allows safe access. It is also soft, rounded and flexible to allow atraumatic access even through tortuous anatomies
- Its metallic mesh support guarantees greater general resistance and minimizes the phenomenon of ovalization during its use in association with the guide catheter in high pressure aspiration procedures
- Its internal lumen is lined with PTFE, ensuring smooth passage and safe navigation of microcatheters and guides through. Its external surface has a hydrophilic coating
