DERIVO MINI
Flow diverter for vessels with diameter from 1.5 to 3.5 mm and compatible with 0.021″ microcatheter.
The flow bypass technique with the use of devices placed in the lumen of the parental artery, is a recent approach to the treatment of intracranial aneurysms, especially spindle, giant, and any size wide-necked sac. In addition to treating the aneurysm sac, these devices repair the arterial wall, preventing the progression of the pathology. They allow treating large and giant aneurysms in the distal anatomy without the need for intrasacular devices (such as coils), avoiding phenomena such as the “mass effect”.
These devices have a very high arterial wall coverage and the ability to vary hemodynamic flows in the entry segment to the neck of the aneurysm. The DERIVO® Mini device meets all the requirements of a next-generation flow diverter such as easy handling, safe repositioning and innovative surface finish (BlueXide® technology) that reduces thrombogenic response.
The device allows the treatment of various anatomies in vessels with diameters of 1.5 mm to 3.5 mm. The wide range of sizes comprises diameters from 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm and lengths from 15 mm to 25 mm. DERIVO® Mini devices are compatible with a 0.021” internal lumen microcatheter. The manufacturer recommends the use of NeuroSlider® 21.
Features:
- Less friction during navigation and expansion due to its BlueXide® surface finish and special braiding properties
- Its flared ends optimize its stability
- Its radio-opacity is maximum as a result of the composition of its platinum-core nitinol filaments, its tracer compound and its three radiopaque platinum-iridium markers at both ends
- The release is very precise due to the guide with a safety system (“GP” technology) and the device can be resheatable almost entirely during implantation
- The device can be fully recovered for later use in case of need
