NeuroSpeed
Semi-compliant balloon with dedicated indication for intracranial stenosis and deploying Credo stent.
NeuroSpeed® is an angioplasty balloon catheter indicated for the treatment of intracranial stenosis. It is a double lumen coaxial catheter with a 0.014″ guide lumen and a 0.0165″ working lumen. It is available in different balloon diameters (1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4.0 mm) and a length of 8 mm for all diameters.
The useful length of the catheter of 150cm allows access even to distal lesions. Can also be used in combination with intermediate catheters for additional stability.
The balloon has two radio-opaque markings, one at each end of the balloon. It must be inflated by means of an inflator with a pressure gauge. A sterile table with the diameters corresponding to each pressure is attached to each unit. Nominal pressure is 6bar (atmospheres) for all measurements.
Features:
- Multi-polymer shaft construction with a proximal-distal stiffness and flexibility gradient allows for effective and precise control even through tortuous anatomies
- Flexible tip with radiopaque distal marker ensures non-traumatic access through stenosis
- Low entry profile and dual hydrophilic coating ensure a smooth transition through even the narrowest of strictures
- Its semi-expanding balloon concept offers the advantage of being able to increase the nominal diameter by up to 0.5mm without a “dog bone” effect, even in the high pressure range
