The treatment of stroke by mechanical thrombectomy with a stent-retriever is the form of recanalization through retraction of the thrombus using a nitinol mesh in the form of a non-releasable stent. The APERIO Hybrid® thrombectomy device is the latest generation of stent-retriever.

With its wide range of sizes, the APERIO Hybrid® thrombectomy device is suitable for treating vessel diameters from 1.0 mm to 5.5 mm. The device is available in 2.5 mm 3.5 mm  4.5 mm and 6.0 mm diameters and in lengths between 16 mm and 50 mm. All measures of the device can be used through microcatheters with a 0.021″ internal lumen. The 2.5×40 mm and 4.5×30 mm measurements can also be used by microcatheters with a 0.0165″ internal lumen.

The APERIO Hybrid® thrombectomy device is compatible with the NeuroSlider® 17 or 21 microcatheter.

Features:

• The device has a good apposition to the vessel wall, radial force and great thrombus capture capacity thanks to its efficient design of hybrid cells (alternate open and closed) capable of capturing harder or softer thrombus
• Its positioning and control of the opening is precise thanks to its high radio-opacity distal markers and its guide with a safety system (“GP” technology)
• Two platinum microfilaments spirally run through the nitinol structure of the device, giving it a radio-opacity of its entire structure
